Good Evening Colleagues

I have been passing on information that women with  Gestional Diabetes Mellitus, can expect some delay in their lactation.
Can someone enlighten me why. Is it due to the  insulin targeting the mammary acini glands  or is it due to lower levels of prolactin, or neither of them

When you are helping women who are hand expressing, do you or don't you wear gloves. The infection control team at the hospital are now advising us to wear gloves as colostrum/milk is a body fluid.
