Never heard of X-ray being a problem. Does not make the milk hazardous or go bad.

Question on the litmus test: did they dip a strip in every bottle she had?
How clean was the strip - or how was it handled prior to using it on her milk?
If they were considerate, they would have poured a bit out and done the litmus test on that milk.
But that's too much to ask, I suppose.

I have no knowledge of gas mass sepctrometry and how it is done, so can't comment.

The older the baby, generally the lower the risk, or the more resistant baby is to infection.

I think this needs to be publicized. Can you tell what airport this was?

PTP: I have a mother that was traveling in the US with pumped breast milk and despite having the current information, she was detained. Her milk was x-rayed, litmus tested and gas mass spectrometered. Can she feed this milk to her 8 month old baby?
