I would strongly counsel any breastfeeding woman against getting a Tattoo.
Poor sterilising techniques can lead to transmission of Hepatitis B and C.
I also wonder about transmission of HIV although I have never seen data on
this. We had a recent outbreak of Hepatitis C here which was traced to a
tattoo parlor.
