I am always interested to learn more about breastmilk’s components during
storage so I can pass that information on to mothers-although will be
reticent in this case due to small sample size and lack of peer review at
this early stage.

However what I think is dubious is WHY the researchers compared the
stability of frozen breastmilk to frozen artificial milk, when I have never
read an indication or recommendation to freeze artificial milk?

It seems dubious and manipulative to be comparing breastmilk results with a
product that was never intended to be used or stored frozen. If the study
was designed to ascertain the antioxidant levels in breastmilk during
various storage options, period, then that would have given it more
credibility in my view.
