If it would be simple rusty pipe syndrome  (or any other syndrome) should i have the mother continue pumping or will that cause more damage. What should she do with the milk. I had about 5 cc's of this milk and was trying to use it via SNS to get infant to latch and he wouldn't swallow the milk and pulled his head away from the breast but when we tried the formula he would at least attempt to do something (but never actually latched sucessfully, i even tried a nipple shield but he bit instead of sucked)...

SInce the infant is not nursing would you have mother pump to keep milk supply or stop for a couple of days to allow the body to heal or try pumping but on a very low setting..
