I agree with you. Women that doubt their ability to get through labor may
doubt their ability to breastfeed. In my community women doubt that they can
even get into labor spontaneously. Inductions are the normal with all the
complications that go with them. So perhaps before the epidurals it may be
the pitocin that is the original culprit in that the contraction intensity
increases the desire for labor medication.
