I left a few important items out of my last post, sorry. Baby was fed due
to low blood sugar, not because they thought it was hungry. When I arrived
at the hospital the baby had already been fed formula, Mom had not been
told to begin pumping, or she would have been able to offer whatever she
could express instead. When I left she was going to track down a nurse and
begin pumping so that she could offer that instead. I recommended lots of
skin to skin contact, etc., I am going to see her this a.m. and am hoping
that things are working better for them both.
