 Back in the dark ages, as a hospital LC in 1986, if baby not latching, we would fill a regular bottle nipple with colostrum or formula and hold it in baby's mouth.  They would usually suck it all up and act like "Oh hat's what I'm supposed to do and go on to latch and nurse.  (We didn'tknow the teaspoon idea back then :-) I think a spoonful of colostrum seems to act the same way.   Pat in SNJ
