My kids all called their blankets "nigh-nigh's" from taking them to bed
with them as we called bedtime "going night-night". I did not nurse my
older two long enough for them to come up with names to call it but I
learned my lesson by child number three (the lesson was not to listen to
poor advice and to go to LLL faithfully, this was 20 and 22 years ago)
and he nursed much, much longer and called it "milkies". I must have
said something to that effect at one point (or maybe it was his sister
and brother who told him that). I can still remember him sitting in the
grocery store cart tugging up my shirt and screeching "milkies mommy,
milkies!!!!". He is now a 6 foot 6 inch 17 year old who would be
"thrilled" that I was telling you all this!
