I like the comparison of breastmilk being as complex a substance as
blood.  (Perhaps the soldiers will relate to *that*, lol.)  If you
were in need of a transfusion, would you want a reconstituted
processed bovine product, or the real thing, matched to your own
type, from a real person?  Just as there is no satisfactory
substitute for human blood, there is really no substitute for human
milk with all its species-specific (not to mention baby-specific)
properties.

Also, I know soldiers don't make a lot of money, so hitting them in
the pocketbook might be effective.  I know an Army officer who taught
Army basics to new enlistees.  He pointedly stated that all of them
had a *responsibility* to the Army and to taxpayers to breastfeed
their children or encourage their partners to do so, because of the
increased costs of formula-feeding -- not just the cost of the stuff
itself, of course, but the higher health-care costs.
