 Jeanne:  I say "do what works," but have you ever tried them warmed up?
I've been gathering data on this (unpublished) and I'm starting to see
major leaning in the direction of warm, not cold, in terms of reduction of
swelling.  I know it sounds strange, but it that's what I've seen.  The
best evidence I have is from moms who have volunteered to be their own
controls: one side cold, one side heated.
