Aloha,

I have heard of this happening with pregnant women. I worked in the
restaurant industry for 10 years. I believe the restaurant is just
trying to protect themselves.
When I served alcohol to customers, I would not serve anymore if I felt
they had had enough. I know this is definitely a judgement call, but if
that customer were to get into an accident due to the alcohol I served
him, both the bartender and myself would be held accountable as well.
This may not be the case in every state.

Aloha,
Gloria Thai Honolulu, O'ahu, Hawai'i located 20 degrees North of the
Equator
