Hi Lactnetters,

There seems to be a rush of mastitis among the expat population in Thailand lately, all first time moms with mastitis in the first couple of months. It is happening across different hospitals, different nationalities, but no changes in type of care and breastfeeding education from past months. We're in the end of the rainy season. It's probably just coincidence, but do you know of any environmental factors that could contribute to higher incidence of mastitis?

Curiously,
Kim
