I appreciate the input on this! The GI tract issue, as well as the
contaminant/heavy metal issue are certainly areas where I can look at and
see if there's anything that is worthwhile. 

I'm thinking with multiple births (non-human mammals) the placentas all come
out at the end, at one time. We mainly have cattle, and they usually have
only one calf, and no real experience with other animals, all of our
critters are "fixed." But, if there is oxytocin, perhaps it keeps the mother
from hemorrhaging after the placenta is out?

I do have placenta conditioner - bought for me by one of "my moms" because I
spent a lot of time with her children, explaining the placenta, showing it
to them. Also have Tit Lo Han tea as a gift from another LLLLeader.

I heard something about placenta being rich in oxytocin, so mother 
mammals who have multiple babies eat the placenta in order to stimulate 
the next wave of contractions for the next baby... Don't know if it's 
true or not, or if oxytocin even works through the gi tract.
