Hi:

Just to add to discussion: besides a chiropractor, an osteopath trained in
craniosacral work is a referral possibility.

Genna, I also encourage moms to stimulate rooting and expect baby to "latch
on"--whether finger or artificial-teat feeding. Speaking of which, is the
artificial teat she is using adding to the problem--some ARE worse than
others. If mom is opposed or overwhelmed with idea of alternative feedings
like cup, syringe, finger, etc. and artificial teat helps her retain sanity,
I have to respect that. However, I do suggest ones that are dripless (or slow
drip if baby needs transitional step to get idea to "strip" artificial teat).
Are brand names allowed here? I know this is controversial and do explain it
still reinforces problems, but if it means mom doesn't give up completely for
another day, that's the way it is.
