In a Swedish book on child rearing I read "Five hours of sleep for a
lactating mother equals eight hours of sleep for someone who doesn't
breastfeed". No reference. Hence my personal experience this is not
correct. Breastfeeding or not, I still need 8-9 hours a sleep each
night to be the Mum I want to be. The sleed could be interrupted 10
och 15 times during the worst years, that was no real problem, but I
had to get a certain amount of sleep, way more than 5 hours. Is there
any scientific support for that five hours of sleep would be enough
if you lactate, if you need 8 hours otherwise?
