Hi Ruth:

>Is it usual to feel "antsy" about nursing when pregnant. I remember doing a

My second and third babies were conceived while I was nursing toddlers.
Probably the first pregnancy symptom was that antsy feeling, followed
quickly by sore nipples which exacerbated the antsiness. I remember feeling
like I wanted to run screaming into the night during what used to be lovely
nighttime nursings.

I firmly believe that this is one of the ways God helps us to manage the
changing relationship. My body was telling me that it was time for different
ways of cuddling & loving her. I encouraged weaning (which with toddlers had
long since begun) and did my best to explain in little people's terms that it
was no longer comfortable. 2 & 3 year olds can participate in choosing those
nursings that are most important and finding alternatives for the rest.
Though I fully support the idea of nursing through pregnancy & in tandem,
I've always wondered how moms manage it, due to my own experiences.

Nancy
