I would like to recommend a book to you all. I just finished reading 
"Breastfeeding Made Simple" by Nancy Morhbacher and Kathleen 
Kendall-Tackett. I think it would be helpful for all lactation helpers, not 
just moms, because it describes normal infant behavior and how one can use 
that to make breastfeeding work better. Actually all people involved in 
pregnancy and childbirth, hospital staff included, need to read this. By 
normal infant behavior I mean what babies are supposed to do, or as the 
authors call it are "hardwired" to do. As an IBCLC who has observed 
thousands of babies and felt like I already knew so much, the authors gave 
me language and references to explain in a better way than I was doing 
before.
