Has anyone done research on who is funding the free on-line apps for new
mothers?

Moms that I see, whether on WIC or from the boardroom.are using Apps from
the first day of conception - and after birth they are addicted to them!

Many apps have become their "baby watching" method - they attach the baby
and immediately reach for the telephone to enter "starting time" and at the
"ending time" of each breastfeeding. In some apps they are then informed
how long they have breastfed, and are given the probably time of the next
breastfeeding. You can imagine the stress all this "information" - baby
wanted to eat too soon, or baby slept too long - is adding to an already
overwhelmed mom. The app does not need to say "if you just formula-fed, life
would be much more predictable and easier" - this will be said by her mom,
her doctor, her friends, comments on Facebook, etc. when she shares her
data!

Even DURING LLL meetings, during discussions about "responding to your
baby's cues", moms document their latch-ons and latch-offs!

Just wondering who is financing this!

April's test!)
