Well, my relaxing Epsom Salts bath with lavender worked to resolve this
baby's feeding/stooling problem. :)

Mom called the next day to say that baby had a great night, stools were
yellow again, and he and she were most happy. Baby was having long times
of awake, peaceful, and interactive. Then she said that her husband's
family was coming from out of town and bringing dinner, including split pea
soup. She wanted to know if she should eat the soup--would it be gas
producing in her baby?

I told her that I wasn't sure about the soup, but given what she had been
through for the past few days, if it were *my* baby, I would skip the soup.
There were going to be plenty of other foods to choose from.

I just hope that the other foods didn't prove irritating to the little
one's GI system.

I work with a lot of vegetarians who eat all of the "gas-producing foods"
and their babies don't experience GI distress, so I know that there are
many variables. But if a baby is exhibiting sensitivity already, would you
consider pea soup something to try later?
