Oh, I like it. It looks like a lot of fun- and I agree, the music was great.

Have you considered using parabolic mirrors in your projections of light?
You can find small ones that are fairly inexpensive and lightweight
(plastic). They can create some interesting effects with light. Also, if you
submerge them in water (try coloring it if you don't have any luck) you can
create points of light under water. Put it on a gymbal and you've got some
fun.

Another cheap and cheerful thing to try is using fluorescent light diffusers
for fx mixed with shadow-making and/or more moire madness:
