Evidence, whether it be letters or liquor bottles are tangible pieces of  
evidence. We get into trouble when interpreting the meaning. A good example  
would be family histories and letters around Salt Lake City, Utah that  alcohol 
has always been forbidden among the saints, but field records of the  stone 
quarries for the temple blocks show substantial trash pits checkered with  liquor 
bottles. As I said, it is what we do with the evidence that makes the  
"cement" soft.
