The deadline for applications to the Portland State University Field School
at the Vancouver National Historic Reserve is May 10th!

Portland State University and the National Park Service are pleased to
announce their 2nd annual field school. The program introduces the methods
and theories of historical archaeology. Students will work at the Fort
Vancouver village, a multicultural settlement of employees at the 1825-1860
Hudson’s Bay Company fort, and at Fort Clatsop, the 1805-1806 winter camp
for Lewis and Clark. This is a seven-week program, running Tuesday through
Saturday from June 25 – August 10, 2002. Application deadline: May 10. A
