Walter Meyer writes:

>"Sing for your supper and you'll have breakfast, songbirds always eat."
>Hart, Lorenz: *Boys from Syracuse*

Please don't forget:

Vivaldi (RV 335), the cuckoo
           (RV 90), the goldfinch
LvB (Op. 68) Szene am Bach, nightingale (flute), quail (oboe), cuckoo
(clarinet)
Prokofiev, Peter and the Wolf,
Saint-Saens, Carnival of the Animals
and many others too numerous to mention
and the added fact Wolfie himself was inspired to write some piece (which
escapes my mind at this moment) by listening to a pet bird.
