I recommend Dowland's Lachrimae (Seaven Teares for 5 Viols & Flute).
This is outstanding music and possibly the best ever written for the
viol.  Three recordings I love are Lindberg/Dowland Consort on BIS,
Savall/Hesperion XX on Astree, and, my favorite, Holman/Parley of
Instruments on Hyperion.
