I agree with the recommendation of the Andre Gertler mono recording with
Kletzki; it has been my favorite for decades.  But to my surprise, this
month's BBC Music Magazine CD equalled it for me, surpassing the Sophie-
Mutter recording I had appreciated for interpretation and sonics.
