Thanks for the reply to my request but I think my intent was not well
explained.  I'm not interested in versions of R's concertos as I have
some idea of what is out there.  I like Ask/Previn having heard it on the
radio+library CD. So I wish to purchase this performance and have the
options of 2 different CD of the same work but that there may be one CD
that is superior in sound due to the better remastering effort or whatever.

I recall reading a different classical list on this very subject on these
2 sets of discs about 2 years ago, and I think the 4 concertos are the
"better " sound thus No. 2 concerto would be more pleasing to me than No.
2 of the exact same work on another disc remastered differently.  I have a
hearing loss....and I try to buy the best deals I can.

Sorry for the confusion.  I think I will go ahead and buy the 2 concertos
as Byron Hitchcock recommended.
