Denis Fodor wrote, after attending Paavo Jarvi's concert:

Sibelius' 7th is the most sublimely constructed, emotionally powerful
symphony I've ever heard.  It beats even Mahler's 9th for me.  If you're
going to judge it on the basis of a lame performance, well then that's YOUR
loss.
