Hummel wrote a mandolin concerto which I first heard on LP.  The only other
recording I know of is on Dynamic.  Also, I think that Hummel transcribed
his mandolin concerto for piano and orchestra; it's on one of the the
Shelley/Hyperion discs devoted to Hummel concerti.

Hummel's mandolin concerto is a fine work with numerous memorable melodies.
