I agree with Randy re cage trials, and apparently he agrees with  me 
regarding drenching packages.  So, we seem to be in  agreement.  The difference is 
that I've seen heavy drenching with  fumagillin spiked syrup, not the scant 
1/2 cup Randy uses.  If you  keep the syrup down to this small amount on a 
large colony, I agree, not likely  to see much or any mortality.  But not 
everyone does it this way.
