And I don't know whom when you say "we". I am not following a path. 

The beekeeping community?  Was that not obvious with the reference to ABJ and bee culture both??  As beekeepers here in the us the majority of our information comes from  here,  Beesource and those two publications......

I am astounded at how many beekeepers don't know that bees and honey are up in the US....
