If I remember the constituents of whole milk they are approximately  83%
water, proteins and minerals such as calcium, 3.5% fat, and 13% sugars,
mainly lactose.
If Lactose is a problem , then milk is not indicated. If dried milk is used
the % of sugars rise due to it being fat free
