The study was never rejected, it was merely reclassified to "supplemental."
 There was actually little to criticize--when I asked a number of questions
about it to the authors, they were able to respond well.

At the beginning of  the new study, Bayer invited beekeepers from Canada
and the U.S. (including myself and Bret Adee) to make suggestions, which
they incorporated into the design.  Read more at

We felt that the study was well designed.
