Hello,
Here I am with this history stuff again...
Someone asked me for info about possible Nazi
Germany project to Eradicate the European Dark
Bee. I remember reading about this, but 'file
thirteen-ed' the article due to lack of credible
sourcing.
At the time, the bees commonly kept in Germany
were the German Black Bee, Italian Bee, and Carniolan.
So I suppose, if this did happen, it was an effort by
beekeepers to standardize to a single breed and not
some evil Nazi conspiracy,,,,not sure.
If true, anyone have a source for this?
Thanks in advance.
