On the other hand, I've found I have a hand lotion that seems to make my
bees very mellow. I'm very sensitive to smell, myself, and it struck me
that this stuff had what I think of as a "happy bees" smell. So I decided
to try an experiment and rubbed it on my arms and over my gloves before
working the hive. (I usually work with bare arms and gloves.) Wow, were
the bees ever mellow, that day. More like handling a swarm. Well, it *was*
a "honey" hand lotion... ;-)
