The wax  from melted combs seems to make a much stronger foundation than
cappings  wax.



A few years ago Dee very kindly sent me some sheets of her foundation from
which I made a fibre glass press and passed some sheets onto others to do
likewise.  Her foundation is dark brown unlike the pale yellow we are used  to in
the UK and is a very strong and flexible material.
