Hi Mark

The most marked attention that my wristwatch got was many years ago, and was
at a time when the watch was not visible at all to the bees.

I go along with pairs of eyes being some sort of recognition. Some colonies
have individual bees that will stare at you from about 450 mm in front of
your face, and keep station with you if you move.
