The rub is, what is exactly is a 'native type'? It is either native stock (A.m.m) or it isn't. Looking like a 'native' doesn't cut it, as genetic studies have shown. Trying to back-breed against some imagined ideal model is a futile pursuit outside the realms of gene editing, and why even try if the genuine article is still available? If the bees are good and their appearance and behaviour pleases then let's be happy about it without the need for further extrapolations.
