Sorry about the delay in replying...

I was trying to keep things as simple as possible and so I assumed that
vending machine cups, although not identical, were similar enough not to
bother about the difference.

But I was given some other figures at the weekend by Pam Gregory, her
figures were specifically for the expanded polystyrene type of vending cup
and those figures were 500 to 850 bees in the same soggy condition that I
described... Having been collected in a Marburg box in the same way.
