       I use a hand propane self lighting torch.  The torch will burn clean
everything without contaminating the hives protective system of Propolis.  I
may kill a few bees which do not set the hive into defense mode.  I can clean
out corners better than I can see of virus, fungus, mites, wax worms, spider and
webs, mice and their waste odor, and cleaning the screen at the bottom is
easy.
