I haven't had much luck finding anyone that has tried the EasyCheck. I did receive the following reply from the manufacturer is case anyone else is interested:

"Hello Adam! During our tests, we got 80% efficacy to separate the mites from the bees with Varroa EasyCheck. A spanish expert, Antonio Pajuelo, also tested EasyCheck compared to the powdered sugar method (with another tool). He reported that EasyCheck was 35 to 38% more effective to separate the mites from the bees than the sugar method."

I am not sure that 80% is much better than the double shaker jar.
