In 1993 (I think) I had a call from the head gardener of a big house near me.
He had seen a swarm issuing from a chimney and told me " I banged on a piece
of galvanised iron (wriggly tin) and managed to get them to come down in the
second courtyard."  They were still there when I collected them an hour later.
