Onderwerp: [BEE-L] Oxalic persistance

I noticed a graph of OA vapor treatment that implied there was a lag in the Varroa drop after treatment. It implied about a three day lag to complete effectiveness.

That would seem to imply that OA vapor is not a flash treatment but does have persistence after vaporization. There are OA crystals all over the insde of the hive after treatment. Are they the cause? But it could also be that it just takes about 3 days for the Varroa to die.

I tried to find anything about OA vapor persistence but found nothing.
Knowing if there is would help if you did sequential treatments. Also, there may be some confusion with OA vapor and OA drip treatments as to their harm to bees. Some of the reports I read were generic as to OA and did not differentiate but seemed to be referencing the drip treatment which we know should be limited.

So is there anything out there on persistence and sequential harm with vapor?
