Hi d and all

A few years ago I was asked by BC to write an article about my comb
honey method. In the article I told about using starter strips in an
empty frame between two drawn frames in the centre of my medium honey
supers. I found that the bees followed the foundation size cells to
the bottom of the starter then changed to a larger size cell (drone
size or larger) below it. I then started placing empty frames (no
starter strip) and got full frames of large cell comb honey
(obviously in a flow).
