Speaking of propolis, my wife is looking into some of the new hydrophobic and oleophobic coatings as a way to keep the kids' boots and gloves dry.  See, for example, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IPM8OR6W6WE starting at 0:55 and again at 3:42.  She asked if this would work against propolis.  (Apparently, I'm in big trouble if I track it onto the carpet one more time.)

Does anyone know a good resource about the electrochemical properties of propolis?
