Every beekeeper should get Treat Your Own Back by Robin A McKenzie with their first beekeeping manual. It is a short, well-illustrated book with simple movements and posture instruction that allow you to treat or prevent over-use back injuries common in beekeeping. If you are referred to physical therapy try to find someone who has been credentialed or diplomaed through the McKenzie Institute to be sure your therapist can provide you with the education to manage your back for life, not just the current injury.

Other excellent books in the same series: Treat your own Neck
                                                             Treat your own Shoulder
                                                             Treat your own Knee
