If bees hear, is it certain that Johnston's organ is the one they use for the purpose?  I was told by my mentor, Roy Page, F.R.E.S, about 40 years ago, that the function of Johnston's organ was unknown but he thought that it might be an air speed indicator.  Could it perform both functions? If not, what is their air speed indicator?
