In light of the recent discussion on copyright issues, I would like to
remind Lactnetters that posting large amounts of an article is not
permitted. This is directly from our Welcome Note:
"[Do] quote MINIMAL amounts from other notes to make your point. EXTENSIVE
QUOTING is illegal; authors may consider it plagiarism; publishers may
consider it stealing!"
Please just post the URL with a brief description of what it contains.
While surfing the newsgroups I coincidentally came across this URL which is
described as "an attempt to answer common myths about copyright seen on the
net and cover issues related to copyright and USENET/Internet publication."
It was very interesting (and timely) although I cannot vouch for its
accuracy. Like anything else on the Internet, read it judiciously.

If anyone cannot access this page, I can send it to you as text. The author
gives specific permission to copy freely at the end of the article.
