Often, I am grumpy about news reports that should include a
mention of breastfeeding but don't.
I was happy to see the end of an Associated Press story
about contamination of beef by E. coli. The story by
Philip Brasher ran in my local paper March 1, 2000.
The story said that new methods for killing E. coli were
being developed. "One is an anti-microbial agent, known as
lactoferrin, that is a naturally occurring protein in the
milk of mammals, including humans."
Just a small, positive, normal mention. Thanks Philip!
