Carla Deanna wrote about pump flanges and how they work, but she spoke of the
glass pump flange in the past tense...I used one the other day ! They are
still useful in a few cases! I am glad to be able to use it, and these
mothers are so relieved to have something that is comfortable, AND works. I
sometimes use them during healing from severe edema/sore nipples.
It is a shame they are so expensive.
As an aside, we used a glass flange with the elephant at the zoo(a few years
ago) too.....it is not a note that I generally share with a mother when she
is using it, but it did help provide milk yield!
